Sarah Keyes, MS, PA-C graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology and then pursued a career as a Physician Assistant after obtaining her MS from the Baylor College of Medicine Physician Assistant Program. Sarah practiced in Family Medicine for about five years and felt increasingly frustrated trying to help patients with chronic disease conditions in the traditional medical paradigm. Simultaneously, she was excited to return to Baylor College of Medicine as a faculty member in the BCM PA Program (back home)! Upon starting as an Assistant Professor, she was introduced to Lifestyle Medicine (LM) and thus began a passionate pursuit of the knowledge, practice, and education of LM for all medical providers. Sarah started working in an Internal Medicine clinic devoted to LM and obtained her wellness coaching certification from WellCoaches. Sarah also is certified in LM from the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She has a 5-year HRSA supported grant to incorporate LM into the BCM PA Program and continues to coach patients one day a week. Her most recent publication can be found here. When not goofing around with Jen on a microphone, Sarah enjoys cooking, figuring out productivity hacks, napping and resting, and hanging out with her boys (husband, Calvin, and baby on the way).
